Did you know that diets high in sugar INCREASE premature aging? That’s right. Sweets today = wrinkles tomorrow, says wellness expert Dr. Frank Lipman. So instead of focusing on what you put on your body (wrinkles creams, anti-aging lotions), take a look at what you are putting in it instead. Proper nutrition is key for healthy, youthful skin, and sugar is definitely not a nutrient! Kick your addiction to the sweet stuff with these tips. It may not be easy at first, but after you make the switch from candy to fruit, you’ll be glad you did.

Unfortunately sugar is highly addictive, so kicking the habit can be easier said than done.  Keep a youthful glow with these proven tricks:

•    Drop processed foods.  Even ‘healthy’ options are usually laden with refined sugars. (4 grams is equal to 1 teaspoon of sugar)

•    Curb your drinking habits.  Lighten up on sweet drinks, & your taste for sugar overall will likely subside.

•    Reach for a healthy option when you’re craving something sweet.  Some fresh or dried fruit will often do the trick!

•    If your cravings seem relentless, get some support from a like minded friend, or the amino acid L-Glutamine.  Both help you manage the cravings until you can manage them yourself.
